Get to Know Cara Noel
Cara is the Founder and CEO of The Noel Group, Inc. A veteran communications strategist and writer, she brings a wealth of experience in the political, labor, and community activism arenas.
Cara is a former Director of Communications for 1199SEIU United Workers East, where she helped give a voice to 1199SEIU’s more than 450,000 health care workers in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Florida.
Cara first worked on labor issues while serving as a press secretary for the New Jersey State Senate Democrats. She also served as the communications representative for the State’s Legislative Black Caucus.
Cara went on to work at the New York City Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO as its Director of Communications, where she worked to coordinate the voices of workers representing 300 local unions from New York City’s public, private, and building trades sectors.
She has been recognized as one of New York State’s 40 Under 40 Stars, and as a member of the Brooklyn Power 100 by City & State Magazine.
Cara is a proud graduate of Morgan State University and received her master’s in public policy from Drexel University.
